The Solar Social
Wishbone Studio was the creative engine behind pv magazine’s global anniversary celebration.
By blending thoughtful brand storytelling with whimsical spatial design, we reimagined the Praterinsel as a "global village". From sculptural haybale installations to a curated street food market, we directed every corner to ensure the techy-forward identity felt grounded, artisanal, and unmistakably celebratory.

The venue
PraterInsel
Our search for the perfect venue led us to Praterinsel, a secluded island in the heart of Munich. We chose this site not just for its capacity, but for its connection to the industry. Sitting next to the Isar river and surrounded by nature, it offered an organic heartbeat that felt unmistakably "Solar".

Spacial Design
From Studio to Scale
Long before Munich, our Kreuzberg production space was full of hay bale mock-ups - testing shapes, flowers, and guest flow to get it just right.

To celebrate a decade of "Berlin to the World", artist Kristina Wedel shaped a visual language infused with warmth and radiance. Solar panels bloom among tulips, while global landmarks appear as playful visual cues, together forming a sunlit graphic landscape that celebrates unity and collaboration.

The Visuals

Spacial Design

Given the vast, open scale of the Praterinsel halls, our spatial approach focused on breaking the blank canvas into intimate seating islands and conversation corners. The design was conceived to be lived in, not just looked at.

Sourced Nostalgia
We transformed a vintage VW Bully into our terrace bar, bringing a market-like spirit and a touch of nostalgia to the event.
Spacial Design
Cultivated Form
The hay-bale installation was conceived as both form and function. Sculptural seating elements contrast the venue’s industrial shell, with hay used deliberately to connect solar energy to the agricultural landscapes it depends on.

Material Storytelling
We paired the rustic hay with clean, contemporary furniture, adding whimsical details like gingham stools to introduce a subtle hint of spring.

Food Concept
A Culinary Roadmap
Inspired by the idea of a global village, we collaborated with Berlin’s Mogg to bring a lively street food market to life. Guests wandered between stalls, discovering carefully selected flavors that mirrored pv magazine’s global partnerships.
