A Decade of Light

To mark pv magazine’s 10th anniversary, we designed an immersive celebration exploring solar energy as a unifying global force. Munich’s Praterinsel became a lively “Global Village,” where we softened the industrial halls with sculptural hay-bale seating — a playful yet deliberate reference to solar energy’s agricultural roots.

Working alongside artist Kristina Wedel, we introduced a sun-soaked visual language that unfolded across a street-food market curated by Mogg, with each stall representing a global partner through flavor and storytelling. From the vintage VW Bully terrace bar to gingham-dressed seating clusters, every element was prototyped in our Kreuzberg workshop to craft a milestone that felt warm, communal, and joyfully immersive.

Our hay-bale installation doubled as functional sculpture, softening the industrial setting while symbolically linking solar power to its agricultural roots.

Seating islands broke the grand halls into warm, conversational clusters. We mixed hay stacks, plush upholstery, woven rugs, and playful gingham stools for a hint of whimsical spring.

Kristina Wedel shaped a glowing visual language by blending solar warmth with playful nods to global partners and springtime energy.

We transformed a vintage VW Bully into our terrace bar, bringing a market-like spirit and a touch of nostalgia to the event.
